Surfometric Analysis - Option in Image Analysis

 
With the addition of our in vivo (light array) imaging system it is now possible to select not only the type of surface imaging system to use but also the resolution range (1 to 80 microns) best suited.

LIGHT ARRAY (IN VIVO) ANALYSIS

As noted previously IRSI in conjunction with a noted West Coast Dermatologist, Daniel Gormley, M.D. has developed an in vivo image analysis system that makes it possible to evaluate surface altering therapeutic or cosmetic modalities. The equipment and methodology allows one to measure, to an accuracy of 80u, certain skin surface changes in an in vivo mode, without having to make replicas or take photographs which then must be "computer interpreted". Initially the analysis has been directed at macrodefects such as bags under the eyes, large furrows or deep wrinkles.

LIGHT ARRAY (REPLICAS) ANALYSIS

The light array system combined with silicone replicas can also be used as an accurate and economical means of quickly measuring contour changes on the skin surface. It has been recently used to evaluate the efficacy of an anti-cellulite product and "fine line reducing" products.

LASER BASED OPTICAL IMAGING SYSTEM

This highly accurate system, resolution of + 1 micron, is still the final word in imaging analysis. Data from this technique can be used to measure changes occurring on cutaneous surfaces with unparalleled accuracy. This system can also be used to generate graphics and measure the volume of individuals surface features.
